Every state

Including the 571 centers CMS files outside any metro area — a rural area code, or no CBSA at all. They have no metro page, so their state page is the only place they appear.

What's in a row

  • Specialty mix — which case types the center is certified and equipped for, straight from its CMS filing.
  • Capacity — operating rooms and procedure rooms, so you can tell a two-room shop from a ten-room facility.
  • Hospital visits after surgery — CMS risk-standardized 7-day rates with their confidence intervals, against the national rate.
  • Patient experience — OAS CAHPS scores, where the center has enough completed surveys to report.
  • Ownership type — for-profit, non-profit or government, as filed.

What is not here yet: per-procedure Medicare rates. Those are keyed to CPT codes, which carry a license we haven't bought — see the methodology. Everything above is free federal data.
